One of NPR’s most beloved and popular shows, Planet Money brings its smart, energetic approach to economics to the Rotman School of Management for a special live taping.

Millions of listeners trust the world’s leading economics podcast to explain the mysterious inner workings of the global economy and the forces that affect nearly every decision we make. Hosts Darian Woods and Alex Mayyasi will explore some of the big, complicated forces moving our economy and decode them.

Planet Money’s new book presents brand new stories and insights gathered from more than a decade of reporting that reveal ways AI might help you or replace you, demystify dating markets, and show how pro sports’ "dumbest" contract holds the secret to building wealth.

The evening will feature an onstage conversation with a special guest, Avi Goldfarb, plus audience Q&A.

About the speakers:

He has an honors degree in economics from the University of Canterbury and a Master of Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley.
