U of T alumni and friends are invited to a thought-provoking talk by
Professor Angelo Melino
Co-Director, Master of Financial Economics Program, Department of Economics, Faculty of Arts and Science, University of Toronto
Department of Economics, University of Toronto Mississauga
Although our nation’s history is filled with many quirky experiments, the different choices that were available to Canadians to pay for things used to be considered a very dull topic. But recent developments in fintech have added new options at a dizzying pace. How did we get here? What are these new developments? What can we expect in the near future?
In this talk, Professor Melino will explore the fintech industry and how it is changing the experience of financial services. He will discuss what this means for Canadians and how this evolving industry will continue the play an increasingly important role in the way we pay for things.
Prof. Melino's presentation is part of an ongoing series of compelling lectures for alumni, hosted at venues across the GTA. U of T in Your Neighbourhood brings the University right into your community. Stay informed, inspired and connected, because together we are boundless.
