cordially invites you to a reception for University of Toronto alumni and friends, featuring a special presentation on

Changing the Story - Access to Mental Health Services for Youth by

Dr. Kristin Cleverley
Clinician Scientist, Centre for Addiction and Mental Health
CAMH Chair in Mental Health Nursing Research
Assistant Professor, Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing and Faculty of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry
University of Toronto

For many youth who seek help for mental health concerns, their stories of accessibility and continuity of care is one of frustration: They believed they had only one entry point to assistance, and they bounced around the system trying to find the right service, the right treatment, and the right clinician. And once they turned 18, the process started all over again. But it doesn't have to be this way. The story can have a different ending. In this talk, Dr. Kristin Cleverley, a passionate clinician-scientist whose research focuses on transitions from child to adult mental health services, tells us how this common story could become a thing of the past.

Dr. Cleverley's presentation is part of an ongoing series of compelling lectures for alumni, hosted in cities around the world. U of T Where You Are brings the University right into your community, keeping you informed, inspired and connected.
