Synopsis

Brain and blood cancer. Some of the most frightening diagnoses you can possibly hear. Nearly always fatal, almost completely untreatable. Until now.

Professor Patrick Gunning, a medicinal chemist at U of T Mississauga, has developed a powerful family of molecules that target the master regulators of the cancer cell, STAT proteins. Learn how these remarkable molecules disable STAT proteins to kill cancer cells—without the painful side-effects of traditional chemotherapy.
