This lecture explores ways that the higher education community can draw on the energy of current social movements to address inequities in higher education that impact student achievement and success, creating lasting and sustainable change. Current discourse and social engagement have provided opportunities for dialogue and action. Issues of equity, diversity and social justice have been at the forefront of the debate, with calls to move beyond performative acts to lasting san sustainable change. This lecture will explore not only the challenges, but the possibilities for collaboration across different groups and contexts
