2008 Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award Recipients

Dorie Smith, the Fourth Year Student Representative to the Graduate Architecture, Landscape & Design Student Union (GLADSU), maintains open lines of communication between the graduating class and executive board. Last year, Dorie's peers elected her GLADSU President and Social Coordinator, and Dorie oversaw a $40,000 budget, the creation of a book of student works, several gallery exhibitions and a new peer recognition scholarship. In response to Hurricane Katrina, the master's of architecture candidate organized a group of U of T students to volunteer in New Orleans.
