An area of the B Lounge will be reserved for the U of T group. Professor Walid Saleh, Department for the Study of Religion & Department of Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations, Faculty of Arts & Science, U of T and Heather McLean, Faculty of Arts & Science Advancement, U of T, will be there to welcome you.
As part of this meetup, Professor Walid Saleh will share some of his current research with the group. Professor Saleh is a specialist on the Qur'an, Tafsir and medieval Islamic literature, as well as the founding director of U of T's Institute of Islamic Studies. He is currently a Humanities Research Fellow at NYU Abu Dhabi.
Appetizers and one drink will be provided; attendees are responsible for food or beverages ordered separately.
