Together in Victory: Canadians Abroad and on the Home Front During the Second World War

Last year marked the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. A year later on May 2, 2021, we commemorated the occasion with a two-part virtual lecture on the Canadian contribution to victory. Historian Nicholas Gunz shared the remarkable story of decorated paratrooper and U of T alumnus, Captain Jack Clancy. Then Richard Fiennes-Clinton, Soldiers’ Tower Committee Member, discussed the vital role Torontonians played on the home front.
