2007 Arbor Award Recipients

Laurence Curtis

Arbor Award 2007 recipient

Laurence Curtis has encouraged students to study earth sciences by establishing the Explorers Fund, which offers awards to geology students, supports field training, and lets alumni and earth-science professionals support the recruitment and training of upcoming geoscientists. To demonstrate his enthusiasm for the Explorers Fund, Laurence was its founding donor. The 1975 Arts and Science graduate is also Chair of the Industry Steering Committee, which helps administer the fund. The committee has set an initial fundraising goal of $5 million.
