2013 Arbor Award Recipients

Sara was a founding member of Later Life Learning, an organization that provides seniors with affordable university-level lectures. She served as the organization's treasurer and, with her late husband, initiated the Later Life Learning Scholarships in 1983. These endowed scholarships will continue to be awarded annually to Innis College students. Her son, Jose Shapero, accepted the award on Sara's behalf.
