Kirran was instrumental in fostering a sense of community among alumni in southern England. As a University of Toronto Regional Alumni Representative, she welcomed alumni moving to Oxford, familiarized them with the area and introduced them to the U of T community through innovative programs such as the first Alumni Dinner with Strangers in England.
