John Starkey is a long-time supporter of the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering's Civil and Mineral Engineering programs and of the faculty's Advancement Office. John is a founding member of the task force to overhaul and redesign the facilities at the Gull Lake Survey Camp for undergraduate students. He also conducts an annual lecture to undergraduates on how to design Semi-Autogenous grinding mills.
