Since retiring in 2002, Prof. Emeritus Jeffrey Fawcett has been a leader in the Department of Geology's advancement efforts, taking an active role on committees responsible for fundraising and for connections between the university and the geoscience industry. The committees have raised money to establish student scholarships and help fund field training.
