2011 Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award Recipients

Ben Verboom's active life in the Faculty of Physical Education and Health includes being chair of the Council of Athletics and Recreation and a volunteer with the Centre for Leadership Training and Education. In 2009, Ben initiated an 8,000-kilometre cross-Canada solo trip, Cycle to Help, to raise awareness of suicide and mental health, and he continues to speak to groups and conferences on the issue. He has also completed an internship as a volunteer with the Namibian non-governmental organization Physically Active Youth.
