Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award 2011 recipient
As president of the Faculty of Medicine's Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology Graduate student council, Sheron Perera introduced a mentorship program and organized graduate student research events, career seminars and an open house for recruitment. She also served on the department's Curriculum Committee. At the university level, Sheron has served on the Governing Council and as a peer health educator for the Student Health Outreach Program.
