2011 Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award Recipients

During her four years in the Faculty of Music, Michelle Oliphant has volunteered with the U of T Centre for Community Partnerships, assisting students at two alternative high schools with English and math, and mentoring at-risk, challenged and homeless students. With the group Amigos de las Américas, Michelle implemented a community-based initiative to purchase medical equipment in Oaxaca, Mexico. She has also been involved with the Faculty of Music Undergraduate Association and helped to plan a benefit concert that raised $1,200 for the Red Cross and Daily Bread Food Bank.
