2008 Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award Recipients

For two years, Fatima Uddin served as Vice-President, Community Affairs of the U of T Medical Society. In this role, she oversaw 11 Faculty of Medicine community outreach programs involving 300 volunteers. Through the U of T International Health Program, Fatima led the successful Books With Wings project, which collected and shipped more than 6,000 textbooks to medical schools in Afghanistan. The MD candidate is also a member of the Student Medical Reform Group, which is committed to ensuring that all Canadians have access to quality health care.
