Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award 2008 recipient
Responding to the need for an environmentally sustainable, organic vegetarian eatery on campus, Nora Saks co-founded Hot Yam!, a vegan and local food collective. The environmental studies major is also active in the Food For All Community Garden, which shows U of T students how to grow healthy food in the city. The University College undergrad is on the board of U of T's Environmental Resource Network. Nora has also written for Green Perspective, U of T's eco-magazine.
