2008 Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award Recipients

As President of the Materials Science and Engineering Club, Varuna Prakash helps to foster a strong sense of community for her more than 200 classmates. Since 2005, Varuna has served on the Engineering Society's student newspaper, The Cannon, conducting research, writing, editing and interviewing faculty members. As a former member of U of T's chapter of Engineers Without Borders, Varuna has raised awareness of poverty and human development issues by speaking at local high schools. She also shares her Skule spirit by participating in student recruitment events.
