Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award 2008 recipient
At U of T Mississauga, Pacinthe Emad Mattar facilitates a Speak Easy Program in which international students can practise their English conversational skills every Thursday. She also coordinated “Let's Talk Turkey,” which enabled faculty members to share Thanksgiving with international students. Also with the International Resource Centre, the political science and French major coordinated the Buddy Program, which matches students who have been in Canada for several years with new arrivals. Pacinthe also assists students in the Career Centre.
