Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award 2008 recipient
Co-Founder and President of the U of T chapter of Jane Goodall Institute Roots and Shoots, Leanne Remy De Souza promotes student involvement off-campus. She leads a tri-campus executive team in creating unique student projects that address environmental, religious and poverty issues locally, nationally and globally. The chapter also researches and plans events to meet needs on campus. Leanne is a vibrant speaker with U of T's High School Mentorship Program at St. Michael's Hospital. In January, she earned her master's in nutritional sciences with the School of Graduate Studies.
