Since 2005 Michael Oliphant has taken a leading role in the food security initiative for the Equity Studies Program at New College. The director of research and communication at the Daily Bread Food Bank, Michael heads a research component for social justice, using the food bank as a case study. He leads training workshops for students interested in conducting the agency's annual survey of food bank clients. This is a unique opportunity for students to acquire valuable research and evaluation skills.
