Arbor Award 2008 recipient
Marina Nemat's internationally acclaimed book, Prisoner of Tehran, started with a creative writing course at the School of Continuing Studies. Marina now serves as an ambassador for the school and graciously volunteers as a fundraiser for student awards and a model for the school's transit ads. In the middle of her 2007 book tour she made time to do readings at the school, a donor recognition event and at U of T's Festival of the Arts.
