Sharon McCarthy was instrumental in moving the Associates of University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) into a new era. The 1987 graduate could see that the Associates of Erindale needed a new title, among other marketing revamps. The renamed Associates of UTM serves with renewed energy as a link between UTM and the community. As chair from 2006 to 2008, Sharon challenged Associates board members to take a more active role and join committees. Sharon has served on the Teaching Awards Committee, Ethics Committee and Erindale College Council.
