Geeta Yadav

Dermatologist, Women’s College Hospital

Dr. Geeta Yadav’s academic interests include access to dermatologic care. Previously, she worked on health policy for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Malawi and Health Canada in Ottawa. As an undergraduate student she was an elected member of the Governing Council, held membership on the University Affairs Board and the Academic Appeals Committee and received a Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award. She has received an Arbor Award for her outstanding volunteer contributions to the University as an alumna.

In medical school she was the Ontario Regional Representative for the Canadian Federation of Medical Students and received a Citizenship Award from the Provincial Association of Interns and Residents of Ontario and Learner Peer Award of Excellence from the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. As a resident she was the Co-Chair of the Canadian Dermatology Association, Residents and Fellows Society.

In addition to her Hon. BSc and completing her FRCPC at the University of Toronto, Geeta holds an MD from the Northern Ontario School of Medicine and an MHS in International Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She resides in Toronto.
