Managing Vice-President, Pariveda
Safdar (Saf) Mahmood is the Managing Vice President for Pariveda, a leading management and technology consultancy, that expanded into Canada in 2019. Mr. Mahmood leads Pariveda in Canada and is responsible for building our consulting capability, sales and business development, client delivery, people development and generally expanding the Pariveda brand. Prior to Pariveda, Mr. Mahmood spent close to two decades at Accenture as a Partner. He has led transformational programs around product development, operational efficiency, business strategy, process redesign and digital enablement. He has lived across North America, Europe and Australia, and has worked with Fortune 500 companies throughout his career helping them solve some of their toughest business challenges.
Outside of the UTAA, Mr. Mahmood is the outgoing President of the University of Toronto Engineering Alumni Network (EAN) Executive Board, which focuses on strengthening connections between alumni, students, and faculty members. For his volunteering work with the U of T community, he received an Arbor Award in 2023. In addition, he had the honor of being a convocation speaker for the 2022 Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering graduating class. He is also a board member with Women in Communications and Technology (WCT), a not-for-profit focused on empowering women leaders and advocating for gender equality in Canada’s digital economy.
Mr. Mahmood graduated with his BASc in Electrical Engineering in 2003 from U of T. Outside of the office, when he is not chasing after his three young children with his wife Sarah, Mr. Mahmood is a voracious reader, enjoys weightlifting, and spending time outdoors. Being a third-culture individual, he also takes every opportunity to travel and expose his family to different countries and cultures.
