U of T psychiatry professor Katy Kamkar and cyber security investigator Ryan Duquette discuss the impact of cybercrimes on mental health.
Have you or someone you know been a victim of an online scam? Have you ever had your personal information compromised or stolen? During this presentation and Q&A, Dr. Katy Kamkar and Ryan Duquette will introduce you to a variety of scams and cybercrimes, and explore the ways they are perpetrated. They will also discuss the impacts cybercrime can have on mental health, and provide some strategies to cope with the aftermath. Finally, they will suggest what individuals and organizations can do to prevent such crimes from occurring.
