Arbor Award 2016 2016 recipient
While chair of the Department of Surgery in 1984 Dr Bernard Langer established the Surgical Alumni Association as a vehicle for communication with surgical graduates and for fundraising purposes. He also played a major role in fundraising for the Bernard and Ryna Langer Chair in General Surgery in the Faculty of Medicine, which recently achieved fully funded status.
