Candice Jay

Candice Jay has over 16 years of experience in the financial industry. Prior to joining CC&L Private Capital, roles at Pembroke Private Wealth Management and HSBC Global Asset Management demonstrated Candice’s ability to support private clients and foundations across Canada. Candice’s practice focuses on helping charitable foundations and high net worth clients—including women, entrepreneurs and generational families—achieve their long-term financial goals. Strategic philanthropy is also an important part of Candice’s practice and she is passionate about working with clients to identify values and areas where philanthropy can play a role.
In addition to her role on the UTAA Board, Candice also serves on the Executive Board of the UHN Impact Collective of the UHN Foundation, and is also a member of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners, leading engagement and mentorship for professional advisors in the national community. She was appointed as a member of the University of Toronto College of Electors in July 2014 and served on the Executive Committee, Nominating Committee for Alumni Governor and Nominating Committee for the Executive Committee.
Candice graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Arts, specializing in Marketing. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI), Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) holder, Master Financial Advisor – Philanthropy (MFA-P) designator, and has completed multiple governance courses including the ICD/Rotman Not For Profit Governance Essentials Program (GEP).
In 2016 she was awarded the WCM (Women in Capital Markets) Emerging Leaders Executive Coaching Award and in 2017 the University of Toronto's Desmond Parker Young Alumni Award of Excellence.
