Senior Executive Partner, Gartner Inc.

As a Senior Executive Partner at Gartner Inc. (Toronto office), Fariba supports C-Level executives to receive contextualized advice and guidance to formulate and execute business and digital strategies. Fariba works closely with leaders to deliver measurable value in support of their corporate strategy and professional success.

Prior to Gartner, Fariba held C-Level positions with AcuteNet, Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, Municipal Property Assessment Corporation, Allstream, and Bell Nexxia. She has served on 15 boards and advisory committees since 2000, including Seneca College, St Joseph's Health Centre, YMCA of Greater Toronto, Catholic Health Sponsors of Ontario, Dell Software, Tera Data, University of Toronto College of Electors, and several venture-funded investments. In 2018, Fariba was appointed by the Treasury Board of Canada to the Audit Committee of the Board of Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

Fariba is the recipient of the 2018 Ontario Volunteer Service Award by the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration and received an Arbor Award in 2012, recognizing her outstanding volunteer service to the university. In 2007, Fariba was recognized as one of Canada's top 100 Women Entrepreneurs and shortlisted as one of Canada's Top 25 Immigrants.

In addition to her EMBA from the Rotman School of Management, Fariba holds a Computer Science Degree from York University.  She is a Certified Corporate Director (ICD.D), a Certified Management Consultant (CMC), and Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) by Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). 

In memory of her late husband, Fariba's passion project supports St Michael's Hospital Urban Angel Fund dedicated to improving facilities for families and caregivers of ICU patients. Fariba has been advocating for women's advancement since 2003 as an organizer and speaker of numerous events and forums. Running, bicycling, listening to podcasts and audiobooks are her favorite hobbies.
