American democracy is at a crossroads. The 2024 American election resulted in the victory of an openly authoritarian candidate, who has repeatedly threatened political rivals and supported a violent attempt to overturn a democratic election in 2021. To discuss how the world’s oldest democracy got to this point, Professor Lucan Way will discuss the dynamics of the American election with John Sides, a leading expert on American elections
