Join fellow U of T alumni and friends for a musical performance.
U of T alumni and friends are invited to a special Women on the Verge recital in Paris!
Women on the Verge was formed in 2016 by U of T alumna and Canadian soprano, Elizabeth McDonald (BMus 1996), U of T alumna and Canadian pianist, Kathryn Tremills (BMus 1994), and American Soprano, Emily Martin. The trio is connected by the performers' mutual desire to explore the common thread of womens lives through the millennia, including their strengths, struggles, and collective experiences. Women on the Verge is committed to commissioning new music written by women that reflect the stories of women from the contemporary world around us.
Join us for their first performance in Paris that will include the European Premiere of U of T alumna and composer, Emilie LeBel's (DMA 2013), new piece called Blue of the Distance. Your alumni representative, Jens Van Vliet (BMus 1985, BEd 1986 OISE), will be there to welcome you.
If you have any questions about this event you can email Jens at jvanvliet@eskills.net.
