A rare showing of Chetna Vora’s OYOYO (1980), as part of the Art Museum's exhibition Careful Crossings

Catch a rare international showing of Chetna Vora’s OYOYO (1980) in the courtyard of University College. This screening is free and all are welcome.
OYOYO was the graduating project of the late filmmaker, depicting international university students in their dorms located in the former German Democratic Republic. The documentary traces moments of song and dance, intimate conversations, and personal interviews, and is reflective of how diasporic encounters may foster political solidarity in a transnational community.
This event is part of the exhibition Careful Crossings, curated by Abisola Oni. This exhibition is presented by the Art Museum and is produced as part of the requirements for the MVS degree in Curatorial Studies at the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design, University of Toronto.
