- An evening hosted by Gabrielle Zilkha
Presented by the Sexual & Gender Diversity Office, Career Exploration & Education and Alumni Relations
Gabrielle Zilkha is an award-winning independent film and TV writer, director, producer, host, comedian and curriculum designer. But to keep things simple at dinner parties she just says “I work in sales.”
Gabrielle’s career has always woven her passion for entertainment with a love of learning. She has written, directed and produced projects with CBC, Shaftesbury, Hollywood Suite, OUTtv and Vision TV. Gabrielle’s work has been lauded for its mix of heart and humour and reviewed in The Hollywood Reporter, Entertainment Weekly, Huffington Post, Globe and Mail and Indiewire.
Outside of film, Gabrielle works as a curriculum designer and educator who specializes in developing vocational training and career pathway programs for learners from equity-deserving groups. Passionate about equity and inclusion in the media industry, Gabrielle has put these skills to use designing programs for BIPOC and 2SLGBTQ+-led organizations like the Trans Film Mentorship, CEE Centre for Young Black Professionals and POV.
