2008 Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award Recipients

At U of T Scarborough, Gillian Reiss has focused her volunteer efforts on anti-oppression endeavours. As the External Coordinator of the Women's Centre from 2003 to '06, she restructured the organization to make it more inclusive and accountable. In March 2006, she organized an International Women's Day celebration that more than 200 people attended. The English major is also Vice-President Academics of the Humanities Departmental Student Association. As the Head Coach at the Academic Advising and Career Centre, Gillian helps students achieve their potential.
