Since retiring from his position as Head of Collection Development at the University of Toronto library, Michael Rosenstock has volunteered in the library's used book room. Book sale proceeds go into the library development fund and a significant amount of money has been raised. Since its inception in 2005, Michael, a graduate of the University of Cambridge and the School of Librarianship and Archives at University College, London, has been among the volunteers who staff the used book room's operation.
