Andre C. Lewis

Andre C. Lewis has over two decades of diverse work experience in the finance industry within Treasury and Investments.   He is currently Vice President, Treasury at DUCA Credit Union. 

After starting his career in 2001 in Treasury Operations at CIBC World Markets, Andre went on to take roles of increasing responsibility within the Treasury organizations at Manulife Financial (2003-13) and George Weston Limited (2013-19).     At George Weston, he was Assistant Treasurer as well as Treasurer of PC Financial.   George Weston has two operating segments, Loblaw Companies Limited, Canada’s largest food and drug retailer and a provider of financial services; and Choice Properties Real Estate Investment Trust, Canada’s largest and preeminent diversified REIT.

Andre then transitioned to Investments as a fixed income Portfolio Manager at the Regional Municipality of Peel (2019), and Central 1 Credit Union (2019-22).

Andre is also recognized for his volunteerism.   He is the recipient of the University of Toronto Arbor Award and Rotman School of Management Volunteer Excellence Award.   Andre also conducts financial literacy workshops, mentors youth, coaches basketball and serves on non-profit Boards.   He is currently on the Board of DUCA Impact Lab and the West Neighbourhood House Endowment Fund, and was previously on the Board of Laidlaw Foundation.

Andre holds an Honours B.A. in Management from U of T Scarborough and a Master of Finance (MFin) from the Rotman School of Management.  He also holds several certifications such as the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and the Rotman-ICD Not-for-Profit Governance Essentials Program.
