Corwin Cambray is the Manager of Strategic Initiatives in Toronto’s City Planning Division where he leads an interdisciplinary team in developing proactive planning frameworks to shape growth across Toronto and leverage infrastructure investment for local community benefit.
Corwin is UTAA President after serving in various Board roles over the past eight years including President-Elect (2021-2023), and VP-Governance and Chair of the College of Electors (2018-2021). Corwin previously served a four-year term on the College (2010-2013), including two years on its Executive Committee. Corwin also served on the Planning Alumni Committee of the University of Toronto Association for Geography Alumni from 2002 to 2010. Under his leadership, PAC introduced several student-focused initiatives including professional development seminars and mentoring, as well as significant fundraising campaigns. Corwin’s contributions were recognized with an Arbor Award (2010) as well as the Honorary President Award (2009) and Outstanding Service Award (2005) from the UTGA.
Along with his Master of Science in Planning from the University of Toronto, Corwin holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University and a graduate Diploma in Public Administration from Western University. He is a Member of the Canadian Institute of Planners and a Registered Professional Planner with Ontario Professional Planners Institute.
