Layan co-founded the You're Next career network which helped more than 2,800 students in its first year by providing them with chances to network, develop their skills, and access job opportunities. As finance-manager of the Engineering Bookstore, she initiated an online sales system that dramatically changed how hundreds of students buy books and increased sales by 40 per cent.
