Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award 2013 recipient
A PhD candidate in the Department of Medical Biophysics, Jasdeep volunteers for the Ontario chapter of the Canadian Cancer Society. As president of the Life Sciences Career Development Society, she has organized seminars and forged relationships between graduate students and industry professionals. She was director of business development for the National Business & Technology Conference at U of T in 2011 and 2012, and a presenter at a molecular oncology forum in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She was also selected for her excellent communication skills as the U of T's and Ontario's inaugural 3 minute thesis 2013 competition champion.
