2010 Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award Recipients

In her pursuit of environmental goals, U of T Mississauga student Tooba Shakeel has been an innovator. She is founder and co-president of Campus Roots, a club that raises awareness of UTM's natural assets and involves students in hands-on environmental activities. Tooba serves as student representative on UTM's Naturalization and Transit Advisory committees. She also volunteers in elementary schools through the Let's Talk Science program and in other community programs to fight child poverty and hunger.
