2010 Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award Recipients

Saswati Deb has put into practice her commitment to public service and community outreach. This Victoria College graduate student has brought her leadership skills to many positions on committees, governing councils and boards associated with academic and student life at U of T. Saswati focuses on helping students achieve a holistic university experience here. In the wider community, Saswati has been coordinator of Project Universal Minds, which offers free tutoring services for high school students, as well as president of the Toronto Bengali Youth Association. She is also an intern with the UN tribunal on Rwanda.
