2010 Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award Recipients

Faareha Khalid has found that academic achievement goes hand-in-hand with extracurricular involvement. At New College, she mentored a "little sister" through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, and is student chair and communications chair for the New College Leadership Symposium. She has organized a number of events with the Human Biology Students' Union, the Medical Science Students' Union and the Physiology Student Union. Faareha also addresses social issues through work with Students Feed the Hungry and the Toronto Chapter of the Canadian Obesity Network.
