Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award 2010 recipient
U of T Scarborough student Adila El-Korazati is a founding member and currently a vice-president of Students for World Literacy, a group that addresses social justice issues by promoting education and literacy. In three years, the club has grown from a group of six students to involve almost 250 students on campus. The club has raised money for a maternity ward in Kenya, a reverse-osmosis water system in a Northern Ontario First Nations community and for other projects worldwide. Adila also coaches a girls' soccer team.
