Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award 2009 recipient
A don at St. Michael's College, Matthew Boire is a server at the St. Francis Table for the homeless, a research assistant at the Centre for Addition and Mental Health and the Sherbourne Street Health Bus, a harm reduction volunteer with the AIDS Committee of Toronto, a board member at Toronto Dollar and a peer counselor at U of T's Sexual Education Centre. Last summer Matthew volunteered at the Riverview Gardens Nursing Home and the Outreach for Hunger Food Bank in his hometown of Chatham, Ont., and at the Walpole Island Reserve Health Clinic.
