2009 Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award Recipients

An arts and science student at New College, Manveen Puri been described as a "model mentor" to high school students in some of Toronto's underrepresented neighbourhoods because of his service as a Big Brother in the college's Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring program. Manveen has donated many hours to his mentees, providing advice and inspiration to these young people to stay in school and think about career options through post-secondary education. Manveen also co-founded U of T BhangraX to encourage campus interest in this form of music and dance.
