Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award 2008 recipient
In 2005, Sara Mojtehedzadeh founded Students for International Development at U of T and served as President for two years. The organization raises awareness of poverty issues through events such as hunger banquets and clothing drives. Most recently, Sara travelled with group members to Peru to set up a sustainable community centre and library in an economically disadvantaged area. The peace and conflict studies specialist has also volunteered with the Peace and Conflict Society and played for the Trinity College rugby team.
