Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award 2008 recipient
As Co-Chair of the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work Graduate Student Association, Melanie Lean developed student liaison support groups for incoming students, initiated a student mutual-aid online group and created the faculty's first student-led Orientation Day. Melanie continues to devote her time to representing social work students on the Interprofessional Education Student Group. The master's candidate is an Executive Member-at-Large on U of T's Graduate Students' Union and a Co-Chair of its Outreach Committee.
