Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award 2008 recipient
The Faculty of Nursing endeavours to educate nurses to be global citizens, and Margrieta Langins has championed initiatives that further this goal. Maggie founded and is the Director of the Globally Interested Nurses (GIN) group, which introduces students to various international health initiatives to raise awareness of global issues that nurses can respond to. The undergraduate also collaborates with faculty as a Student Ambassador for the International Office of the Faculty of Nursing and is helping to organize the office's first annual International Nursing Speaker Series.
