Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award 2008 recipient
During her four years in residence at New College, Kerolyn Katrina Shairsingh has served as an exemplary role model. In the 2006-07 school year, her peers elected her Vice-President of the Residence Council. In this role, Kerolyn planned social and cultural activities for the 800 New College undergraduates. In the previous year, she was House Representative for her floor. Through the college's Mentorship Program, the chemical engineering undergrad helped a Grade 9 student reach her academic potential.
